Specialized Physical Therapy accepts all insurance programs. Please see our list of insurances. For your convenience, we will call your insurance company to verify your level of benefit and any financial responsibility that you may have (copay, deductible, co-insurance). If you do not see your insurance program listed, please give us a call at 856-424-0993.
Do I need a doctor’s prescription to come to your office?
No, you do not. New Jersey State law allows a consumer to directly seek the services of a licensed physical therapist. This is known as Direct Access. This was signed into law by the Governor of New Jersey in February 2003 (S2004). For Medicare patients, we will send to your physician the physical therapy plan of care for their signature to comply with Medicare regulations.
What should I bring to my first visit?
You should bring your insurance card and any other pertinent documents, such as, x-ray and MRI reports, as well as a list of any medications that you take.
Loose fitting comfortable clothing is ideal. If you have a lower extremity condition, wearing shorts would be very helpful.
How long will each visit last?
For the initial examination, allow for one hour. Follow-up visits may last 30-60 minutes, depending on the treatment plan.
